Some students who protested the re-election victory of President Obama over Mitt Romney were punished at Hampton-Sydney College in Virginia. One student was expelled and three others were placed on probation. The four were found guilty by a student court of violating the school's code of conduct by participating in the racially-charged protest the night the President won. About 40 students shouted racial slurs, tossed bottles, set off fireworks and threatened physical violence. They were gathered outside the school's Minority Student Union. The student expelled was found guilty of disruptive and lewd behavior and harassment. The others were fined $500 and ordered to do 100 hours of community service.
