O'Bryant, Pool claim LSWA weekly honors
BATON ROUGE - Johnny O'Bryant from LSU and Southeastern Louisiana's Nanna Pool have been named the LSWA Men's and Women's basketball Players of the Week by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
O'Bryant becomes the second LSU men's basketball player to receive the honor this season, joining Jarell Martin who was honored on Dec. 30, while Pool is the first Southeastern Louisiana player to pick up the award this year.
O'Bryant received the honor after averaging 26.0 points and 9.0 rebounds, as the Tigers swept games against Kentucky and Arkansas.
Pool recorded her sixth double-double of the year, going seven-for-nine from the floor en route to scoring 21 points with 15 rebounds in a win over New Orleans.
