Notre Dame players have scheduled a players meeting for Monday while awaiting word on the fate of coach Charlie Weis.

The meeting will include a vote on whether the players want to play in a bowl game after a 6-6 season.

Weis was not in his office early Monday, though there were no announcements about whether he will return for a sixth season.

Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick said he will make that decision within the next few days.
