The North Iberville High School lawsuit continues in court today starting at 8:30 a.m. at the courthouse in Plaquemine.
Parents claim the school board violated state open-meetings laws when it decided to close North Iberville High School. The last time both parties were in court, board members testified about conversations they had with the Superintendent prior to a public meeting about the plan to close North Iberville. They claim a majority of board members never met beforehand to discuss a decision.
Parents are also suing over a tax they were asked to support for the school, but now isn't being used.
We'll have the latest from the courtroom in Plaquemine later today on News 2.
