North Baton Rouge Reunion
BATON ROUGE- North Baton Rouge residents are getting a chance to relive their glory days. The north Baton Rouge reunion is held on the first Thursday after Independence Day ever year. This morning Haskell Douglas stopped by 2une In to tell News 2's John Pastorek more about the nostalgic event.
Last year more than 650 people attended the reunion, and this year Douglas is hoping to top that. The annual event has been going on for about 18 years. Douglas says it's a chance to get old friends back together and re-live great memories.
The event also helps to fight hunger in Baton Rouge.
"We ask everybody that comes to please bring non-perishable items for the Baton Rouge Food Bank," said Douglas.
The reunion will also have a cash bar set up for drinks and cocktails. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 9th at the Belle of Baton Rouge.
