NOPD officer fired
A 10-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department has been fired for writing improper information on a booking sheet.
According to a news release, Superintendent Warren J. Riley on Thursday dismissed Officer Corey McKain, who had been assigned to the Special Operations Division.
The dismissal was a result of a Public Integrity Bureau investigation which found that McKain had written improper information on the location of an arrest that occurred June 12.
The release says that during the investigation, it was determined that McKain violated department regulations "relative to moral conduct and adherence to law."
