NEW ORLEANS- Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened in the French Quarter. One was fatal.

Most recent, a dead body was found about 6:30 this morning, on the corner of Burgundy and St. Louis streets. No suspects or motives have been identified yet.

NOPD is also looking for a suspect in an earlier shooting on Bourbon Street that left a 20-year old man with a wound to the head. Police say they were trying to break up a fight when shots were fired.

That victim is in stable condition at a hospital.
