Nola Motorsports Park team preps for Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana
AVONDALE - The racetrack at NOLA Motorsports Park is quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, but by Thursday it'll roar to life as it hosts the first-ever Indy Car event in the greater New Orleans area.
"The racing surface itself is extraordinary," said Tim Ramsbeger, general manager of the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana. "It's going to provide for a phoenominal racing experience for these drivers."
Ramsberger says race officials expect 10's of thousands of fans in attendence, with the possibility of more than 100-thousand through the weekend. Races action begins on Friday.
"We think this can be a stape of sports entertainment in Louisiana for years to come."
