A special high-tech survey vessel is mapping the ocean floor of the Gulf of Mexico to look for navigation hazards.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Thomas Jefferson vessel will pinpoint hazards and sandbars that have resulted from a series of hurricanes that have hit the Gulf Coast.
It is a five-month long survey.
