No reports of injuries in mall shooting
PARAMUS, N.J.- There are no reports of injuries after a gunman fired shots at a mall about thirty minutes northwest of New York City Monday night.
"Inside the store, all you could see is the man walking ... but you heard the, it sounded like firecrackers, and my associate told me to come upstairs because he heard a commotion. And basically all that happened was the mall security came inside and just screamed, 'Everybody get out of the store," a store worker told WABC TV.
The mall was put on lockdown, and images from the scene showed a massive amount of law enforcement with riot gear and weapons ready. The mall was evacuated, and the Associated Press reported shoppers were escorted out by armed state troopers.
As of this posting, the shooter had not been located.
