No foul by J.C. Penney against Macy's
NEW YORK- A state judge says J.C. Penney interfered with Macy's in a contract with Martha Stewart Living Media when it cut a deal to create a collection of home goods three-years ago.
But, Judge Jeffery Oing ruled Macy's failed to prove J.C.Penney was liable for damages.
This ruling comes six months after Macy's and Martha Stewart resolved a battle to sell home furnishings at Penney.
Penney also scaled back its merchandising deal with Martha Stewart.
