No. 1 prospect chooses Ole Miss over LSU
Loganville, Ga.- The nation's No. 1 football prospect made it official this morning, as Robert Nkemdiche signed with the Ole Miss Rebels and not with LSU.
Nkemdiche, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive end from Loganville, Georgia, revealed his decision live on ESPNU just before 7 a.m.
LSU got an official visit from Nkemdiche and his father last weekend, the final weekend before Wednesday's start of the national signing period.
Nkemdiche said he left Baton Rouge feelingly conflicted about his decision because LSU had done much work to get in the mix for the his services after it appeared all but a done deal that he go to Ole Miss.
Nkemdiche's brother, Denzel, is already a linebacker at Ole Miss.
However, LSU's recruiting class remains one of the nation's best, as National Signing Day is now underway.
Be sure to check back throughout the day for updates on who has signed with the Tigers.
