Nine Tigers listed on Preseason All-SEC teams
HOOVER, Ala. - Sportswriters picked nine LSU Tigers for the Preseason All-Southeastern Conference football teams at this week's SEC Media Days.
LSU players ranked high defensively, with defensive tackle Anthony Johnson and safety Craig Loston making the preseason first team. Linebacker Lamin Barrow was named to the second team, while linebacker Tahj Jones and Jalen Mills were on the defensive third team.
The Tigers did not rank as highly on the other side of the ball, though. Four LSU players were listed to the third team, including running back Alfred Blue, wide receiver Jarvis Landry and offensive linemen La'el Collins and Josh Williford.
Odell Beckham Jr. was named first-team return specialist and second-team all-purpose player.
The Tigers were predicted to finish third in the SEC West behind Alabama and Texas A&M.
