Night kickoff announced for LSU vs. Ole Miss
BATON ROUGE - Southeastern Conference officials announced Monday a nighttime kick-off for the Oct. 25 clash between LSU and Ole Miss with kickoff set for either 6:15 or 6:30 p.m. CT.
LSU (5-2, 1-2 SEC) will take on third-ranked Ole Miss (6-0, 3-0 SEC) in the next of their nine consecutive night games. The Tigers haven't played under the bright lights so many times since their 1958 season.
The game will be televised by either ESPN (6 p.m.), ESPN2 or the SEC Network (both 6:30). The exact kickoff time will be announced by conference officials following the Oct. 18 slate of games.
If Ole Miss beats Tennessee this weekend (6 p.m. CT, ESPN), they will march into Tiger Stadium with an unblemished record for the first time since 1963. Additionally, it will be the first time the Rebels have faced LSU as a ranked opponent since 2003.
Before the historic meeting with the Rebels, LSU will play host to Kentucky (5-1, 2-1 SEC) on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 6:39 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. Radio listeners can catch the game on the LSU Sports Radio Network with the pregame show starting at 4:30 p.m.
