BATON ROUGE- As 2014 approaches, several establishments are preparing to ring in the new year in style.

L'auberge Casino is prepping more than 3,000 desserts for their event this evening, including a special cake made with gold dust.

"I wanted to go back to the 1950's kind of era, so that's why I decided to do the whole whiskey, caramel, pralines kind of thing and domes with a nice glitter as well," said Arlety Estevez, the Pastry Chef at the Resort.

At Juban's, the crew is prepping for a meal of mass proportions, including a Live performance by Ned Fasullo and a classic menu.

"About 150 crabs sold tonight, 160 Adrians sold tonight, probably 100 filets, we'll boil off 60 pounds of shrimp just for appetizers, it's hairy, it gets busy, a lot of product," said Executive Chef Joey Daigle.

Mockler Beverage has already delivered nearly 30,000 cases worth of beer to various establishments across the Red Stick. For those who've consumed too much of the stuff, Mockler is sponsoring a safe ride home program through Yellow Cab and Guy's Towing.

Cajun Country Limo is also booking private chauffeurs to cart around tipsy revelers.

"We have three big party buses that we take out on nights like tonight and we also have limos, people get private chauffeuring, they can get shuttled around basically, they don't have to drink and drive," said Jimmy Saizan, owner of the Limo company.

Each restaurant plans to have a toast at midnight to ring in 2014.
