New rule changes an adjustment for LSU basketball
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers fell behind UMASS early in their 92-90 opening day loss, in part, due to several players getting into foul trouble.
Much of that foul trouble came from players adjusting to college basketball's new hand check rule.
Arm or hand contact with the offensive player will result in a foul, and college referees are starting out the season with liberal whistles.
