New Roads/St. Francisville ferry to reopen Thursday

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced Wednesday that the New Roads/St. Francisville ferry will reopen mid-morning Thursday after clearance is received from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The ferry did not run on Wednesday while crews repaired the vessel's engine cooling system.

The regular operating hours for the ferry  are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
