New Roads man held on rape, kidnap charges
NEW ROADS - A 33-year-old New Roads man has been arrested on rape and second-degree kidnapping charges.
The rape victim told police she agreed to ride with her attacker to a Baton Rouge store on Saturday.
Instead, according to police, the woman said her attacker drove her to an undisclosed parking lot and then raped her inside his car.
She was then forced partially clothed out of his car and her attacker drove away.
On Sunday, police arrested Jason Fowler and was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
