New Roads man arrested for child sex trafficking
Baton Rouge- A New Roads man has been arrested for trafficking a juvenile for sex. That's according to the Attorney General's office.
Along with child sex trafficking, police charged 48 year-old John Wayne Garon with human trafficking, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile by sexual immoral acts.
The arrest was part of an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Attorney General's office, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, State Police, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations and the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Garon was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
If convicted, he faces up to 62 years in prison.
