New record for gas prices
ATLANTA- Tuesday marks one-thousand consecutive days where the average price of gas is more than three-dollars a gallon for regular and that's a new record. AAA says the streak started on December 23, 2012 and unless there's another recession the above three-bucks a gallon is here to stay. AAA says the bright side is, prices haven't averaged four-dollars a gallon. The three-dollar threshold started after Hurricane Katrina slammed into the gulf coast and destroyed oil platforms and pipelines in 2005.
