New Orleans Saints sign DE Cam Jordan through 2020
METAIRIE - The New Orleans Saints and starting defensive end Cameron Jordan have agreed on a contract extension through the 2020 season.
Jordan, who was New Orleans' first of two first-round draft choices in 2011, was entering the final season of his rookie contract.
Saints spokesman Greg Bensel on Tuesday confirmed the five-year extension, first reported by FOX Sports.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Jordan has 29 sacks and five forced fumbles in his career, including a single-season high 12 ½ sacks in 2013. Last season, his sack total dipped to 7 ½ as New Orleans' defense struggled as a whole, ranking 31st in the NFL.
