NEW ORLEANS- New Orleans has recorded its first slaying of 2011.

Police say a 21-year-old man was shot to death Sunday, shortly after midnight.

The victim's name was being withheld pending notification of family.

Officers found him lying in the doorway of a residence. He'd been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene.
