NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Police Department says it's investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy.
A news release said the teen was shot multiple times and found in a vacant lot about 10 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to a hospital where he died. His was being withheld pending notification of family.
Police said the teenager, who had a criminal record including resisting arrest and carrying an illegal weapon, was walking down the street when a car pulled up and one of its occupants shot him.
