A 72-year-old New Orleans man has claimed the $990,648 Louisiana Lotto jackpot from Saturday's drawing.
Louisiana Lottery officials said Wednesday that Donald Meilleur had the sole, winning ticket for the prize. On Monday, he received $693,453 after state and federal taxes were withheld.
The winning numbers for the Aug. 21 game were: 1, 7, 19, 22, 33 and 36.
Meilleur bought the ticket from Spur General Meyer in New Orleans. The retailer will get a one-time bonus of $9,906, or 1 percent of the prize, for selling the ticket.
Meilleur did not say what he plans to do with the money.
