New Orleans council member's staff is back
NEW ORLEANS - Staffers for a New Orleans City Council member were back on the job three days after a walkout.
On Friday, Jackie Clarkson's office was closed. She later acknowledged that her staffers were unhappy with her following last Thursday's regular council meeting. There had seen some heated exchanges between Clarkson and staffers during the meeting.
Clarkson told reporters she admits she is "not easy to work for" and that she demands a lot from her staff.
Clarkson's media director confirmed in an email Monday that all staffers were back. No information was released on whether any kind of agreement or compromise was involved in the workers' return.
