New Orleans among cheapest vacation spots
NEW ORLEANS - The Crescent City is one of the cheapest vacation spots in the country.
Trip Advisor compiles the list each year as familes begin to prepare for their summer trips. To create the list, researchers consider the average price of a hotel stay, cocktails, dinner for two and a taxi ride.
After the numbers were crunched, New Orleans fell as the fifth least pricey destination. Three other southern cities are in the Top 5- Orlando, Atlanta and Miami. The least expensive spot you can visit this summer is Las Vegas.
Cities along the west and east coasts tend to be the most expensive. San Francisco and New York City will cost you the most for your summer vacation.
