New Iberia home invasion victims lock themselves in bedroom until suspects flee
NEW IBERIA - Sheriff’s deputies in Iberia Parish say they responded to a reported home invasion in New Iberia early Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to the scene at around 7 a.m. in the 1600 block of Adam Street. The victims told investigators that two men kicked open their door, entered the residence and demanded money.
The victims told deputies that they locked themselves in the bedroom and waited until the suspects left their home. The men fled the area headed in an unknown direction.
