GONZALES- A new grocery store on Airline Highway is creating a buzz in the booming suburbs of Ascension Parish.

Leblanc's Frais Marché features much more than you'll need to put dinner on the table.

"We've added a classroom event center, with a full kitchen, so we'll do cooking classes here on site to further educate the consumer on how to use a lot of the new products," said Randy Leblanc, owner of the store.

The store will likely spur more growth in the area as Gonzales and Prairieville boom.

"We've already seen so much growth in the past ten years, and to have new and exciting things, things that we don't have to go far away to get, I think it's gonna draw people in, I think the economy is gonna really pick up in this area, so we're excited," said Annette Bates, who lives nearby.

The store will anchor the new Lagniappe Shopping center that will soon feature restaurants and boutiques.
