New Egyptian goslings born at BREC Zoo
BATON ROUGE - BREC Zoo officials in Baton Rouge announced Thursday that a set of four Egyptian goslings born over the weekend are now on display.
The goslings were hatched on Sunday, Jan. 19 at the zoo. Found naturally south of the Sahara in Africa, Egyptian geese were considered sacred by ancient Egyptians and kept in domestic flocks by Romans and Greeks.
The goslings are on display near the Cool Critters Café at the zoo.
