BAKER- Some students in Baker are getting ready to start classes at a brand new school. Impact Charter Elementary is the first charter school to be authorized specifically for the city.

The new facility is over 37,000 square feet and offers cutting edge technology for student learning. The school will also feature the first elementary performing arts program in the city.

Every classroom in the new school will come equipped with an Apple TV and a projector so teachers can incorporate videos and interactive lessons in their classes.

Impact charter already has a waiting list, but school officials are still offering tours for parents that want to learn more about the programs the school has to offer.

The goal of teachers at the school is to fully teach all of their students and get them emotionally and mentally prepared for the next grade.
