A new casino is set to open in Baton Rouge in 2011. The Louisiana Gaming Control Board has approved a schedule for Pinnacle Entertainment's proposed facility.
The $250 million project has been delayed over the past year because national credit markets have been on lock down. Pinnacle officials say the company extended a major draw down credit account that will provide more financing.
Baton Rouge has two other riverboat casinos.
