BATON ROUGE - After News 2 reported on the broken down fence in front of the Mo-Dad Utility in the Woodlawn Crossing subdivision, the company replaced the dilapidated fence with an orange netting.

Some neighbors told News 2 that's not good enough. They fear their children are still in danger of getting past the netting and getting hurt.

"The hill on the side of the septic system slopes in such a way that it leaves a big opening at the bottom of the fence that children, especially like my daughter's size, is the perfect size to get right in that hole," said Lauren Compton, who lives on the same street as the utility system.

Neighbors said once News 2 reported on the issue originally, the company came out the next day to put something up.

"I would like for them to try to get their things straight because it's unfair for us as a community and for our children to have to live this way," said Sandra Chiro, who lives in the Woodlawn Crossing subdivision.

WBRZ reached out to Mo-Dad Utilities for a comment but they were closed for the Labor Day holiday.
