BATON ROUGE- City leaders are set to talk about buying out a neighborhood near a sewerage plant in the northern part of town.
On Wednesday's Metro Council agenda is a discussion about the $6,000,000 plan to solve on-going issues with people who live in University Heights.
For years, people there have complained the nearby plant stinks and has ruined their quality of life.
If city leaders move on the plan, it would mean purchasing about three blocks. Houses would be bulldozed and the area turned into a "buffer zone."
