Nearly 50 pounds of marijuana seized in traffic stop
HENDERSON - State Police seized nearly 50 pounds of marijuana and arrested a Texas man during a traffic stop this morning on I-10.
Troopers stopped 35-year-old Myvar Abdullah's car at the Henderson and Cecilia exit around 2:45 a.m.
They brought in a St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 to sniff the vehicle after they said Abdullah refused to let them search it, and found two packaged bundles of marijuana in a duffel back in the car's trunk.
Troopers booked Abdullah on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
