Nearly $1 million owed for ethics fines
BATON ROUGE - We've got an update to a News 2 report from last week. People inside political circles owe nearly $1 million dollars in outstanding fines to the Louisiana Ethics Board. More than three dozen people on the list are from EBR, Livingston and Ascension Parishes. We've tracked some of them down to find out why they haven't paid up. News 2 also caught up with the former ethics board attorney. He says the system may not be perfect, but it still serves its purpose.
