NEA Back to School Tour
BATON ROUGE- The president of the National Education Association is visiting schools around the country for a Back-to-School tour. Lily Eskelsen Garcia is meeting with teachers, students and dignitaries to find out more about the current issues facing the American public school system.
Garcia will be in Baton Rouge on September 17th talking about the debate over struggling schools, charter school standards, accountability and other problems schools are currently dealing with.
The goal of the nationwide tour is to improve the learning process in schools throughout the country. The National Education Association is committed to providing students with the best 21st century educational experience possible.
