NBA to replace Coke with Pepsi
NEW YORK- The National Basketball Association dunked Coke and made Pepsi its teammate after a 28-year relationship with the Coca-Cola company.
The CEO of Pepsico says it will bring the power of its portfolio of 22 brands with Mountain Dew leading the marketing strategy with the NBA. Pepsico has already had a 30-year relationship with the NBA through Gatorade.
Pepsico's brands also include Pepsi, Tropicana, Lay's, Lipton and Doritos.
The new partnership covers North America and China where the popularity of basketball and the NBA is growing.
