Navy presses charges for video voyeurism
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA- The Navy charged seven sailors for videotaping female officers and student trainees in various stages of undress aboard a submarine.
The sailors served aboard the USS Wyoming. Prosecutors say the videos show the women undressing and drying off in the submarine's shower area. Records say one sailor traded two energy drinks for the illicit videos and another is accused of saying collecting the videos was "like Pokemon, gotta catch them all."
The Navy allowed women to begin serving aboard submarines in 2011 and the top submarine commander calls this case "a serious sexual offense."
The Wyoming is based in Georgia.
