BATON ROUGE - New health care marketplaces open tomorrow, allowing millions to shop for health insurance, who may not have had coverage in the past.
In Baton Rouge, "Navigators" hired by the Capital Area Agency on Aging have been trained to help guide people through the process.
"The purpose of the navigator is to provide information and some guidance perhaps to people who are interested in finding out if they qualify for insurance, what it would cost them, and the benefits there are to them," said Linda Beauvais with the organization.
The federal government paid for the two navigators, who will begin fielding calls and questions from people having trouble buying insurance through the exchange.
