BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Police Department is partnering with area law enforcement agencies in the Greater Baton Rouge area for the National Night Out Against Crime.

It's on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. in front of the Bernie Moore Track Stadium on Nicholson Drive.

There will be free food, giveaways and photo ID cards for your kids.

You can also learn about fire safety in the fire department's interactive fire house, watch police K-9 demonstrations and meet the huge police Mounted Patrol horses, as well as law enforcement personnel who will demonstrate the special tools of their job.

Police will also teach people about ways to make their neighborhood safer.
