National Hunting and Fishing Day is Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Saturday is National Hunting and Fishing Day, and Baton Rouge is one of four cities in the state where you can celebrate.
There will be plenty of activities to enjoy at Waddill Wildlife Refuge including kayaking, skeet shooting and even a fishing tournament. Once you work up an appetite channeling your inner outdoorsman, there will be shrimp and duck gumbo, fried alligator and more delicious dishes for you to sample.
Gabe Giffin from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries stopped by 2une In Friday with more information on the event. He says one of the main complaints they've had in the past is not enough animals for the kids, so they've added more. He brought a couple of scaly friends to 2une In this morning, including Gaston the Gator.
