HACKETTSTOWN, NEW JERSEY- A nanny climbed into a deep septic hole to rescue a three-year-old who was neck-deep in water in New Jersey.

Luz Jimenez heard Alison Machigua screaming after she walked into the yard and fell 15-feet through a grass-covered hole.

Jimenez grabbed a rope and went into the hole as police arrived.

She held onto the child and both got out safely when firefighters lowered a ladder into the hole.
