Naked man escapes armed robbery at motel
BATON ROUGE - A naked man ran from a motel room off Siegen Lane desperately trying to get help after two armed intruders stormed it.
It happened at the Motel 6 off Siegen Lane recently.
According to court documents, the victim was having sex with a woman for more than an hour in Room 139. That's when two armed men stormed the room and demanded all of the victim's possessions.
A scuffle took place, and one of the suspects hit the victim with the weapon, before he managed to escape without any clothes on.
"There were 12 or 13 cop cars out front, CSI-like guys and a lot of confusion," Motel guest Steven Dunn said.
Dunn lives in Alabama but has been staying at the motel for several weeks as he works along South Louisiana's chemical corridor. The news of what happened has him rattled and ready to check out.
"It's probably somebody cheating," Dunn said. "There's been a lot of screaming coming from that room."
Dunn said he relies on his gun to keep him safe.
"I adore the second amendment," Dunn said.
Although, he loves Baton Rouge he always watches his back, after getting robbed on a work trip several years ago.
"I've been robbed before on College Street in Baton Rouge," Dunn said. "It was an unpleasant experience. I believe if I had my gun I wouldn't have gotten robbed."
Sheriff's deputies have not been able to locate the person who rented room 139. Court records show the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on that motel room and found some of the victim's belongings. The suspects remain on the run.
