HOUSTON - Traffic woes aren’t uncommon in Texan metro areas, but things got a little weird when a dancing naked woman brought traffic to an abrupt standstill in Houston on Monday.

Traffic on US-290 near Houston was already at a standstill due to an earlier accident, but the gridlock certainly wasn’t helped as an unidentified, unclothed woman climbed on top of a truck and started dancing erratically. She refused to come down and an hour long stand off ensued before she was finally taken into police custody.

“I was shocked. It was kind of saddening…” said Keaton Gray, who spent time in the traffic. “As time went on it was less funny and more saddening. It was such a precarious situation,” he said. “She was on the top of the 18-wheeler and you didn’t know what was going to happen.”

Police believe the woman may have been driving one of the cars that was involved in the three-vehicle accident that caused the delay to begin with, according to KHOU-TV.
