PORT ALLEN - One of the two men suspected in the deadly beating of a Florida woman admitted to the killing today in West Baton Rouge Parish.

News 2 cameras were there as Tyler McClain said this about his role in the murder and the beating of the victim's daughter.

"I regret it, I love her, and I hope that she makes it through," McClain said.

He and Bradley Suntich waived extradition in a Port Allen courtroom this morning, agreeing to be brought back to Florida to face first-degree and attempted first-degree murder charges.

The two men are accused in Louisiana of taking deputies on a high-speed chase through West Baton Rouge and Iberville parishes.
