WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Update: Brandon Warner turned himself in to Baton Rouge Police on Thursday. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest a day earlier, on charges of second degree murder.

Warner is accused of shooting and killing Quincy Demond Gaines, 26, in the 2400 block of America Street, around 10 a.m Wednesday.

Witnesses described seeing Warner chase the victim before shooting him several times, police said.

Bystanders who saw Gaines laying in the street drove him to Baton Rouge General Mid-City where he later died.
