Murder suspect surrenders to police
BATON ROUGE - A man accused in a deadly shooting earlier this month surrendered to Baton Rouge Police early Thursday morning.
Police said Tajh Harris, 21, turned himself in around 5 a.m. Investigators had an arrest warrant for Harris on charges of second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
Detectives said Harris shot and killed Javontia Davis, 24, on July 12. Investigators believe Harris and several other people got into an argument around 2600 Plank Road, which led Harris to shoot Davis.
Police booked Harris into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail without incident.
