DONALDSONVILLE - Hours after releasing his name, a suspected murderer turned himself over to sheriff's deputies Tuesday.

Shawn Broom, 26, is accused of killing 21-year-old Michael Stewart.  Investigators said Stewart was shot on the front porch of his house on St. Vincent Street around 2:30 p.m. Stewart was rushed to a local hospital, where he died a short while later.
