Murder-suicide leaves three dead

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Baton Rouge Police Department is looking into a shooting that left three people dead and one seriously injured.

Police say the shooting took place on the 1000 block of Donmoor Ave. around 1:20 Sunday morning.

Marquiles Whaley, 20, fatally shot Shawyn Lollis, 38, and Makalya Jones, 18. He also seriously injured a 36 year old female before turning the gun on himself.

There is no motive at this time. Jones was believed to be the girlfriend of Whaley. The surviving victim is Jones' mother, and Lollis was the boyfriend of the mother.
