ORLEANS PARISH - Search and rescue crews are searching for possible missing boaters after an overturned boat was found on Lake Pontchartrain Tuesday.

According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, agents recovered an overturned 12-foot flat boat near the LA 11 Bridge Tuesday morning. The department says the boat was found with a trolling motor, ice chest and other debris consistent with a boat incident.

Search crews with the New Orleans Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard, Louisiana State Police and the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office are also participating in the search.

The LDWF says no one has been reported missing on the lake as of 2 p.m.
